| My car still has the Bose speakers in their resonant boxes. For years I have endured the popping and whistling and now finally the driver's side is mute. Just wondering if there is a maintenance I should do to the window motors and lift mechanisms. Usually a steel worm drives a plastic gear inside the "gear box" of the motor. In the past when I have had a window fail (in other cars), the worm has "bored" through the gear, rendering the window inoperable. Consideringn the age of the car, I am wonderng if I should service the gear boxes while I am in the door. Welcome opinions and ideas.
